Fundraising
PTO Spring Fundraiser-GO FOR BLUE AND WHITE!
In 2024, the PTO created an obstacle course fundraiser to fund the wonderful learning opportunities and fun events we do. We raised over $20,000 to support our annual operating budget!
All of the money raised by the Parent Teacher Organization directly benefits our children at Parkdale, including these core initiatives:
Author Visits: This is an incredible event featuring a renowned children's book author that visits the school, gives workshops, and inspires our young authors!
Free Family Events: These are the great events that the whole family can enjoy at no charge, including: the Fall Festival, STEAM Night, Fourth Grade Moving-Up Day, and Send-Off to Summer (a rollicking good time with bounce houses, cotton candy, and more)!
Free Assemblies: Our PTO funds monthly cultural, educational, and fun assemblies throughout the year!
Teacher Appreciation Events: By hosting luncheons, holiday cheer, and other initiatives the PTO supports and appreciate our teachers and support staff throughout the year.
Teacher Grants: The PTO funds bi-annual teacher grants for classroom learning enhancement.
Technology Enhancements: Previously, the PTO purchased SMART boards with projectors for Parkdale teachers to use in their classrooms, and 50 Chromebooks and charging kits which are now available to all grades.
Outdoor Classroom: The PTO supported the Outdoor Classroom, including sandbox and games, which all of our children can enjoy!
Free Field Trips: Previously, The PTO worked to raise $11,000 every year to make possible fun and enriching field trips for all Parkdale students at no charge. The PTO gave each grade level funds for transportation and program costs. These field trips included: Buffalo Zoo, Hidden Valley Animal Adventures, Aquarium of Niagara, Zoomobile, and many others. The PTO now provides funding for Parkdale's monthly Assemblies and the field trip funding is now a district initiative.
