Honoring one of our own staff members this Veteran's Day Weekend. If you know East Aurora, you know about the commemorative canvas banners along Main Street honoring those who have served. Today we'd like to thank Mr. Arnold, one of our High School Social Studies teachers for his service. His banner just happens to be right outside our Main Street Middle School building. Thank you Mr. Arnold

To honor the Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos, High School Spanish students held workshops with the fourth grade students. Each fourth grader received their name in Spanish, listened to a story about the holiday, colored masks, decorated sugar skulls, made paper cempasuchil (marigold) flowers, learned some Dia de los Muertos vocabulary words through gamification and made traditional Papel Picados (Mexiacan paper flowers).
