New this year our Senior pictures will be taken by Josten's. We will also accept photos from outside photographers that meet our specifications. Please email to yearbook@eak12.org or submit portraits on
a digital format to Mr.VanOstrand by dropping it off at the EAHS main office or mail it to EAHS 1003 Center Road East Aurora, NY 14052.

2024-2025 Deadline is October 31st, 2024
To select a photo from Jpix or Submit pictures from an Outside Photographer

Please adhere to the following photo specs for senior portraits:

  • Portraits must be submitted on time.  Any portrait submitted after the deadline may not be used in the yearbook, instead the portrait taken by the school photographer will be used if available.

  • Portrait pose selections should be made by the deadline above.

  • Color portraits only.

  • All portraits should be labeled "last name, first name".

  • Blue background .  (Cloud-like pattern with No distracting elements).

  • Images need to be a minimum of 600 DPI.

  • Head size needs to be a minimum 1 inch by 1 inch.

  • Head and shoulder portraits only.  No full body or body angle poses.

  • Portraits must be vertical. (We work with a vertical template, horizontal portraits will be rejected.)

  • No Logos or Text on clothing

  • No dramatic lighting effects

  • No Props including hats.

Often students take pictures with a prop that is reflective of their personal interest (baseball cap, sports equipment or musical instrument etc.)  However, these types of pictures are not appropriate for the senior portrait section and we encourage families to consider these photos for the Senior Dedication section of the yearbook.

  • Digital images must be a minimum 1MB file size for optimal clarity.

  • All files must be RGB jpg. file. (no pdf, png, doc, or webfiles)

The yearbook staff reserves the right to not use a photo that does not meet these requirements and substitute the image provided by the school photographer.
