Students in Mrs. Lundmark’s 5th grade class participated in a “Guess Who” Gallery Walk today! They spent the last few classes writing about themselves, using hints and fun facts. Today, students had a chance to read their classmates paragraphs and try to guess who each belonged to. Under each “guess who” paper is a picture, revealing the correct answer! We learned a lot about each other today.

The first few days of school turned out to be great ones for the students in Mr. Serwicki's Latin II-IV class. They filled in gaps in a Latin story by fishing golf balls out of water beads and represented part of Pliny’s haunted house letter using play-doh wax tablets.

This week East Aurora Schools was full of excitement and new beginnings! On Monday, we kicked off with our annual New Teammate Training, where newcomers got a warm introduction to the EA family, complete with our legendary bus tour led by BOE member Dan Brunson and Assistant Superintendent Mark Mambretti. The week continued with New Teacher Orientation on Wednesday, bringing together all the amazing educators who’ve joined us since last year. Thursday was all about our new Teacher Aides, who got their first taste of the EA experience during their orientation. Each day was packed with icebreakers, team-building activities, a deep dive into essential school year information, an introduction to our cutting-edge technologies, and guided tours of our buildings. We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome these talented new teammates and we can’t wait to greet our students when they return next Thursday!
