On Friday, Arbor Day, the Environmental Science club planted two apple trees and one pear tree at the High School campus. Trees are donated by Rotary and Garden Club with assistance of EA Tree Board. This is the 21st year we celebrated Arbor Day at HS by planting trees.

East Aurora had two teams present at the Students to Startups business pitch competition today at the Seneca One Towers. It was a wonderful experience and a great way for students to share their ideas on a regional stage! Thank you Erie 1 Boces, 43 North and UB Start Up and Innovation Collaboratory powered by Blackstone launchpad and the many mentors our teams received advice and coaching from!

Rocket club was successful in launching all 7 of their rockets. Students had a blast working in pairs during the last two weeks assembling their rockets during ELT.

Looking for somewhere to view the eclipse? Check our this unique opportunity for families in the EAUFSD district. All students and staff in UPK-12 received eclipse glasses on Friday along with an informational flyer courtesy of the HS Science Club. If your child didn't receive them yet please have them inquire with their teacher (Parkdale), homeroom teacher (MS) or 8th period teacher (HS) or check in the main office.

Friday, March 15th, the district hosted it's annual Wellness Day that kicked off with a guest speaker focused on team building and followed with sessions on mental and physical health. Sessions included finger knitting, a tour of the Sustainable Agriculture Farm at the High School, self defense led by Sensei Swan, Emergency Life Skills led by Mr. Librock, Gardening at Home, LifeStretch by StretchLab, Anxiety and Gut Health, Preventing Burnout, Retirement Planning, and Mandala Rock painting led by Mrs. Maisano just to name a few! We were also able to host a blood drive throughout the day.
The Unified Basketball team scrimmaged Iroquois Unified Basketball team this past Friday during halftime of the UB Men's basketball game. EA's Unified Basketball team will be starting their practices at the end of this month. We look forward to the basketball season this spring!
